2017 Fall Survey Results
Our members were polled on issues in the neighborhood. The results were complied and now are available below.

Many of the questions were qualitative in nature, so not all of the responses are included in the summary. For those questions we have included the top responses.

Summary of Results

Introduction:In the fall of 2017 the PFHOA distributed a survey via email to Prairie Fields residents. The key findings presented below are based upon responses from 71 households in Prairie Fields.

QUESTIONS 1-3 ARE MEMBER NAMES, ADDRESS & YEARS IN NEIGHBORHOOD. THOSE ANSWERS ARE NOT BEING MADE PUBLIC FOR THE PRIVACY OF OUR MEMBERS.
 
Questions 4: How would rate your satisfaction level of living in Prairie Fields?

Key findings: The average rate of satisfaction of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question was 88% out of 100%

Questions 5: Do you think the HOA Board should continue to organize neighborhood events?

Key findings: 94% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question indicated they would like to see the HOA Board continue to organize neighborhood events.

Question 6: Would you be willing to volunteer to assist with planning and the execution of planned events?

Key findings: 29% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question indicated that they would be interested in planning and executing events in the neighborhood.

Question 7: How would you rank the different events in the neighborhood?

Key findings: Out of the five options (below), ‘Neighborhood Garage Sale’ and ‘Holiday Light Contest’ received 36% ‘Love it” scores. These two scores were the highest scores out of the five options.
  1. Neighborhood Garage Sale
  2. Neighborhood Picnic 
  3. 4thof July Parade
  4. Halloween Parade 
  5. Holiday Light Contest 

Question 8: Are there any events that you would like to see that aren’t currently being organized?

Key findings: The top three results were:
  1. Some type of spring activity 
  2. Block party (preferably in the summer)
  3. Fall garage sale

Question 9: What kind of capital improvements would you like to see in the neighborhood?

Key findings: The top three results were:
  1. Develop more walking/bike paths and repair existing walking/bike paths
  2. Plant more trees in the common areas and offer discounted tree planting
  3. Community pool and recreation center

Question 10: Currently the HOA has been looking at the following projects. Please rate your interest level in this projects moving forward. 
  1. Yard Waste Pickup Program 
  2. Electronics Recycling 
  3. Subsidized Tree Planting Program
Key findings: The Yard Waste Pickup Program (43.66%) and Electronic Recycling Program (39.44%) were the two most interesting programs to Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question.  

Question 11: Did you attend the picnic this year?

Key findings: 37% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question attended the picnic. 

Question 12: Where did you hear about the picnic?

Key findings: The top three results were:
  1. Nextdoor
  2. PFHOA email
  3. Facebook

Question 14: Do you think the HOA should allocate funds to support organizing the picnic?

Key findings: 77% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question believe the HOA should allocate funds to support organizing the picnic.

Questions 15: How much budget do you think should be allocated to the picnic?

Key findings: The top three responses were:
  1. $1,000 - $3,000
  2. None – charge people who attend to cover the cost
  3. However much is needed to cover the cost of supplies for the event

Question 16: How prominent do you think that Nextdoor.com should be in official communication from PFHOA?

Key findings: 40% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question did not feel Nextdoor.com should be the official channel for PFHOA communication. 53% of Prairie Fields residents who responded to this question chose the option ‘other.’ After reviewing the individual comments the number one alternative option was a combination of PFHOA email and Nextdoor.com

Questions 17: Would you be interested in running for the HOA board in the future?

Key findings: The top response was:
  1. Not at this time

​Questions 18: Please let us know any other feedback or comments that you have.

Key findings: The top three responses were:
  1. Concerns about speeding on Tomaras and Tickseed
  2. Concerns about spending money on things not useful to all Prairie Fields residents
  3. A desire for a community center/pool
