Carrie Busey teachers are asking for volunteers to help with copying and laminating. Also for tutoring.
If you can help with any of this please contact Paula Partin at [email protected]. CU One to One mentoring at Carrie Busey is seeking donations of gingerbread house kits and for fleece fabric to make blankets. The mentor pairs meet once per week, one adult befriending one child in need of an adult who will show up for them and have fun. If you can donate any of this - THANK YOU- and please contact Paula Partin at [email protected].

As a resident, you are required to park all of your vehicles in your garage or driveway. The Covenants state that "All property owners shall provide and use at all times off-street parking for the number of automobiles in use by the owner or resident on the property…” Visitors are permitted to park on the street. If there is a vehicle parked on your street, you can place this reminder/notice on their car. If a vehicle is left unattended on the street for more than 7 days it may be towed by the Village of Savoy according to ordinance 8.20.070. Please contact Savoy Building Inspector/Code Enforcement officer, Gary Zinn, for more information. Keeping vehicles off the street make the neighborhood safer: it ensures access for emergency vehicles and keeps sight lines clear for oncoming cars and children playing near or on the street. |
